History of Zion Lehigh Church.

Congregation established 1745.

First church building erected 1750.

Became a union church in 1843, with Lehigh Zion Reformed Church.

Current church building erected 1894?.

Lehigh Zion Reformed (now UCC) left union in 1968 and consolidated with

      Lock Ridge Presbyterian to form Church of the Good Shepherd UCC.

First Arner members: Johannes3 and Catherine (Scherrig) Arner/Ahner.

      About 3/4 mile southwest of State Route 100; 3 miles west of Macungie.

Take the grassy walkway from the southwest corner of the church building, and they’ll be the 2nd and 8th stones to the north in that row, respectively.]

[From these stones, look to the southwest and you’ll see the group of newer Ahner family stones in a row just this side of the paved driveway.]
